We are now into the seventh week of lock-down, it is a very strange time for us all. immediately all my work finished as it did for many other people. Portraits shoots were cancelled or postponed, jewellery outlets closed, and planned exhibitions were cancelled. I saw from Facebook that some artists and photographers have been very productive making new work but I have found it very hard to find any motivation. My creativity has been directed to finishing a grandmas garden quilt that I started many many years ago and amongst other things a fairisle cardigan started by my mum before she passed away a few years ago.
But now I am beginning to feel the need to take some more photographs and get back to ‘work’ I have started taking my camera out with me on my daily exercise walk just to see what takes my eye. Here are some of the photos from my first lock-down photo walk in the woods near my house.
How lovely to finish those projects, lush such colours. And there is something rather textiley about those beautiful photographs too…
